Splitska is a small harbour village on the northern coast of the island Brac with a population of 395, just 7 km away from Supetar. The coves Zastup and Splitska offer fine beaches and pine forests. Splitska lies on regional road running along the island. Smaller vessels can anchor in the cove with a beautiful beach and forest of pine. The settlement emerged in 16 century as the family Cerinić-Cerineo from the neighbouring village of Škrip built citadel in the cove in 1557. Splitska represents an ideal resort for those who prefer a peaceful holiday. It is also an ideal destination for those fond of walks in the nature: a 45 minute walk (3 km uphill) to Škrip, 30 minute walk to Postire, and 30 minutes more to Dol.
